Bikes: yes, I have one.

flames, flaming flameage, that seems to be the consensus, Tom. Nice overall, but
-> flames jump out a bit colour wise compared overall
-> no gradation, which is a shame
-> what is difference between cycle and flame?
-> choice of icons and size generally are a tad jarring. Flame, bicycle. Bicycle, flame. Shoe repair, key cutting. Strange world.

--

I like the locks, cute

--

I gave up a while ago on the multi-quote, when I tried it would remember my selection and paste it as default into my subsequent reply. Anything on that?

Overall though, just a reminder in case you never hear it (as the first thing on anyone's mind in a thread like this is to point out the problems, me included),
-> still a miles better forum (in style and content) than the vast majority of forums I've seen
-> thanks again for not f***ing it all up

Fixing search for posts by a particular user would be nice.

And repeal this unhelpful icon set.

OK, tech is working on the outstanding bugs. We've been through all this, pretty much every time new software goes into play, llittle things break. First on the list is the scroll/sizing issue.

About the icons - I don't really care that they've changed, but why do I need to be told that there are 'hot' threads. If I read the title, and it interests me, I'll open the thread. The fire thing is pretty useless.

Text wrap seems to work just fine on IE, but not on Firefox if you don't have a full-screen window open.

What's the difference between the + on the icon and the thread title being in bold?

I fixed the text wrap issue by clicking "Forum Actions" at the top of the page, selecting "General Settings" and then towards the bottom, changing the Message Editor Interface from "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing" to "Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls".

Running IE8 on Windows 7. Hope that this helps others.

yes, that too. Might be a nice idea, just not so standy-outy

Bikes: Lots

Regarding the icons ... I'm seeing several different colours of envelopes, bicycles of different colours, flames, and what looks like water droplets. I can't tell what's new, what's old, what I've posted to ....

Is there a key that comes along with all these icons so we can figure out what they all mean ... or can we settle on one (maybe the bicycle, seeing as this is a cycling forum)?

Bikes: who cares?

most of the subforums have acquired way too many stickies at the top of the page, isn't there an alternative?

Note that all of the icons are now the ugly new icons, including the "you've posted here" icons. At least it's consistent now. Consistently ugly.

why does the green arrow point backwards on the front wheel of the icon?
Is it telling me to get a fixed gear and ride backwards?

Sadly this option is already checked. Using Firefox. Forum almost unusable given lack of wrappiness.

Just so you don't feel singled-out the plus sign is on the rear wheel, telling the fixies and SS-ers to "add gears" here.

I don't know if anyone is interested, but I've developed an alternate icon pack:

bikeicons.zip

Someone else asked about the pixelations of the Avatars. It really sucks

woodway's fix worked for the wrapping for me in IE 7
In IE 7 I am not seeing all the flame and add or subtract gears from SS type icons at all. Just the old bubble icons.
I just refreshed that view, though; and now have the biking lizards - odd.

Oddly enough - I do see them on my blackberry. The lizard bike riders that is, but not the flames.
