I think it's just supposed to make it through NAHBS and then I'm not sure what he does with the frames.

I think he offered it for sale and buyer chooses paint. It seemed a "reasonable" price as well although I don't remember what it was.

it's not welds, it's brazing, that's the color of brushed bronze. As far as smoothing goes, I'm sure there is filing and sanding involved. However, not everyone can build up bronze like that smoothly enough to get it finished like that.

those narrow powered belt sanders are awfully nice in smoothing fillet brazing in clean up.
