Foam installed and Streamers added. Now to get to a drive train that will work on this build.

This is foam covering from a pool noodle that took some effort to move up the bars. I didn't use soap and water like was advised for the foam tape of yesteryear. The levers come on board next and the special leather black covers for the levers should cover the theme for the bar set up. Note that the special four color streamers for the bars are ready for install when levers and lower foam is installed.

The worker is one of the group building nice bikes in Fort Wayne. Here is the evidence brought by said worker. Headaches soon to ensue...

It took a bit of work but I managed to get the four color streamers into some bar plugs.

Offset brake wrench from Park inexpensive and the part is OBW-1. You can also remove some of the material from the wrench, so that it just fits into the post flats from the bottom with the tire still inflated.

And it came with a bonus pencil that I can sharpen and use to mark the correct height for me on the post.

This nice seat post came from our friend Skip in Illinois, and because it is too small in diameter, It shall become the default seat post. I have the obligatory brass shim material that I can make fit so the post works. It checks one of the boxes for Spain as a source country.

The saddle with no names and very generic look. It even comes with some Indiana sourced rust on the rails.

A fine Italian sourced part but not low level enough for the Franken-build bike.

No fancy panto parts for this build! Even though it is nice, It needs to be junkified for this build.

The Japanese bar and stem set up from the Raleigh were added but the Campy brake levers will have to go. No really nice parts on this ride. Front brake is a black anodized model of something like a Tektro recessed bolt model.

So the rear wheel has stayed intact for a week and should be rideable. I got the special bolt and fixing part to use the Duopar rear derailleur with the Helicomatic free wheel. The brake is a through bolt type that will require making a special shim to make it work.

I found a front wheel that is a tubular rim from France that is laced to a Japanese hub, with a very leaky Continental tire. Added a skewer from Shimano and hung it on the frame.

Ribbons in Jdawgs four primary colors to make my own handlebar streamers. Now to just get some bar plugs and a drill to make the streamers fit.

At this rate the Raleigh will be down to a frame and fork soon and will fade out of the shop to a new home.

The bars and stem will fit the Ochsner, and are my riding size. Not quite from different countries though as the bars and SR stem are Japanese. The record levers and hoods shall be repurposed to work on either the Ciocc or maybe the Faggin.

Nice rim that had been laced on prior to my receiving it, I think I might get points for the green label.

One of our favorite French hubs - the Helicomatic 6 speed laced into a Mavic rim covered with a Taiwan tube and German tire.

This group is complete sans pedals and hoods. I got the group from a person retiring to Fla. and he couldn't keep it on a bike in a small condo. Asking $900 for the set shipped to the lower 48 by USPS. Some wear on brake blocks. Seat post is 27.2, hubs are 6spd, New Winner FW.

You can see a mark from an over-shift on the drive side, and a bit of dirt on the spindle holes. Size is 175 that you can see on the arms.

This is a set of matched Crank arms and rings. Asking price is $120 shipped to lower 48 by USPS. Some minor wear as it came to me from a seller who downsized his collection.

Rim labels are ok for being about 35 years old. I doubt they were ridden for many touring miles. Tire are nothing special but still service-able.

Araya labels in good condition. I suspect the new owner will want to overhauls the hubs just to be sure.
