The frame with Rack, fenders and wheels removed. Fenders held in a few places with zip ties, and tires were so close to limits that they needed to be deflated to remove.

More patina on both chain stays but I thin some touch up will fix it.

Chain damage indicating some rough living for this frame before it came here.

The patina around the BB that will need some touch up.

Regular Basso logos and pretty good paint up front.

Really nice tube set for this build , and as I am told second from the top of the line for the year.

The logo's are intact and seem to be all original. The paint scheme is a one of a kind for this frame.

And low mileage if the computer can be believed. Looks like a basket case of parts to be harvested.

Early '80's Trek 720. Compact touring geometry with some old skool Helicomatic hubs. Most parts are showing some wear possibly from age. Was supposedly a garage queen but still some good parts left.

But the contents seem to be unscathed. Further unwrapping later and perhaps a thread of it's own.

Rack required a bunch of stash parts but it will be solid. Bike is set to be a single speed free-wheel with a nice city gear.

A quick build change, from straight bars to a bit of rise, and shortening the bars by 1" on each side. Makes for a much better posture for the rider.

The box as it came in. There is no reveal as it is not being a part of the game by being in here in the shop. it is in pause so I can get it back on the road again.

The frame appears to have been issued as a five speed, since there is only the right side braze on for shifter. I am not keeping it but thought I would offer it to anyone interested, before the scrap yard gets it.

Also a 24"center to top Peugeot. Chrome socks on fork and some patina.

Mountain bike Rock Shox steering tube is 5" threaded oversized. And a pair of I think French atom pedals. The dust caps are intact and they could likely be rebuilt.

Same picture but perhaps it shows the finish a bit better. The bolt will get the stainless steel replacement so it will work correctly.

This thing came in and won't stay here. It needs a new bolt but it has gone through the Heli-coil process so it will be safe.

Headset parts with a couple of loose items that came with them. About six of the race assemblies will go to the chrome platers for restoration. It will drive the cost up a bit but they will be correct and pretty shiny when done.

The other end of the box. Some room for a few other bits if Tim wants anything else.

Raleigh fits nicely in the box. Size 29h X 39l X 8w. About twenty four pounds so far.

I used these in a Terry frame that had a very seized seat post. The sodium hydroxide process took nearly two weeks and then these were deployed. They worked better than the sodium process.

Background is a bit busy, but you get the idea. Lock and combination and a seat bag fill out the kit.
