This was with a lacquer based clear coat. It may not show up well, but the reds have bled a bit and left a hazy yellow surround where the red ink is. I put the clear on heavy so It would show any problems. It might not bleed through if using very thin coats to build the clear up.

Clear coat with a urethane paint. No running of the ink and a good clear seal. Note the Reynolds decal for size comparison. The 2K clear coats are urethane based and should cover well but being the cheapo I am, I didn't buy a $30 can to test.

The slide bars hold the uprights stable and have heavy bearings in the uprights. The slide is a single control bar for actuation utilizing an offset pair of control rods.

Heavy and a robust tool note the slide bars made of square tubing steel, and the single adjustment wheel that controls the side and latera runout gauge.

After checking out pics of the BB, I dug these out of the tool box, and they are likely what you need for one side of the BB. My junk yard tool will remove the other cup if this one doesn't work.

The way the tool fits in a cup to remove it from a BB. It is a junk yard tool but it does the work, you may need to find a washer for the inside of the cup to get a tight fit.

The other tool that will remove a cup from either side. Make out of 1/2" drive sockets and race car lug and lug nuts.

Var pin spanner. My first thoughts were to lock the pins down with washers and spindle bolts. But they may slip on the square ends of the BB cups.

Rider quality FD with updated cable clamp bolt. Seat post could use a bit of polishing and cleaning. I'd put it in the rider quality range also.
