jersey question.

Hi.
I'm thinking of doubling my jersey collection and buying this Jersey: link
One thing I'm not sure is the text that is on it, Graffix, Singletrackmind. Does it refer to anything that I need to be aware of?
Sorry I've been leaving in a cave so I'm not up to the latest trends, etc.

Doesn't Graffix make, um, water pipes?

Sorry I've been leaving in a cave so I'm not up to the latest trends, etc.

All indications are that it is a drug use/drug paraphernalia reference. I have found these links:

https://www.graffix.com/products/index.asp?cat=Stickers

https://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...3Doff%26sa%3DN

GRAFFIX is a DRUG paraphernalia company who no doubt supports the legalization of dope.
They also probably support lobbyists for their cause as well.
Which in my opinion is absolutely absurd and unacceptable.

If you want to promote drug usage and support companies who dabble or are directly
related to illegal drugs, then that is your choice. No doubt that the profits from these sales
probably help support illegal drug usage in some shape, way or form. To relate Cycling to Pot Smoking is unbelievablly ignorant. And anybody who gets up on their soap box about doping...save it.
Any illegal drug usage in this sport is moronic and completely F 'ing stupid.

The fact that nashbar sells this jersey is highly questionable and is definitely poor judgement on their part.
I am writing to them to let them know my concerns and disagreement of their policy to offer such a
article of clothing that clearly condones pot usage and possibly other drugs as well.
If you are shocked like I am, I may suggest you let them know, its not a good idea, in fact I would say they have no right to to promote illegal drug usage within the cycling community as far as I'm concerned.

Well good thing I asked. I don't think I will be buying this jersey. Putting a side the drug thing, there is no way I'll pay 50 bucks to be a moving billboard. Especially for a cigarete company.

I love it when I see cars, or especially vans, with similar drug-oriented stickers on them. My cop friends refer to these as Search Me First stickers.

That is one reason. They also are made of a material that wicks away sweat to keep you cooler.

They usually have pockets in the back for you to put stuff in.

There are racing type jerseys that are a tighter fit, and club type jerseys that fit a bit looser. Pick whatever is comfortable for you.

and then there's this https://www.graffix.com/

I may be confessing my liberal leanings here, but this thread made me LOL. I can't help but think that there are a couple of mountain bikers out there who got into the sport after having to find a way to keep an eye on their "crops". Perhaps some of you haven't heard of the problems with these "weeds" popping up in national parks. I'm not one of these stooges but it doesn't mean I don't know they're there.

It reminds me of the time I was at one of my ex-wife's family functions. Her grandmother was talking about a friend of her's who had worked himself near exhaustion. She said "Poor Wally shot his wad and was spent for the day" and I nearly choked at the table. I didn't know if she knew what she was saying or not.

I have had several very similar experiences with the "shot his wad" saying. I have been very surprised to hear several very proper and dignified people who wouldn't even swear (in my presence anyway) use this phrase. It must have some other historical significance or something. I think I once even heard it on TV, with no hint of a pun intended.

As far as supporting illegal drugs, (weed in any case) I don't really think it's an issue. I don't use it, but most of the people I know do. It doesn't seem to be any more dangerous than alcohol or smoking, both of which are legal and very accepted. That's not to say it's totally safe. Everyone knows that inhaling smoke isn't good for your lungs or general health, but if someone wants to use it and knows the consequences, I have no problem with it, just as with alcohol or smoking, as long as they're not posing a danger to others.
