It's a good idea to remove both the stem & seatpost once a year or so and add a fresh film of grease.
Otherwise you may be starting a thread about how to remove a stuck stem/seatpost.

Make sure when you place the stem in the head tube to not bottom it out. If you do then the stem might wedge into a tiny amount of metal at the bottom where the head tube joins to the crown of the fork and it is likely to come loose.
