Quintana seemed to flounder the entire tour. I like him, but he just didn't seem to have the legs this year. He had chances to attack, even attacks by Valverde and he still couldn't respond.

This past weekend, I went out to the Methow Valley and rode a loop over Loup Loup Pass. The ride up was lovely and fun, on (paved) highway 20. The descent was on a maze of badly washboarded dirt roads, and sucked. It was one of those times when I wished I could just ride up the mountain and not have to ride back down. Road bikes don't just mean perfectly smooth pavement and limited views.
