A couple of years ago I almost tore my nose to shreds when I went to wipe my nose with my gloves on. I hadn't notice when I bought them that they had tiny rubber squeegees sewn into the sides of the pointer fingers. I'd bought them in a ski shop and the squeegees were most likely for wiping goggles. OUCH!!!! Now when I buy a pair of cycling gloves I always give them the (clean) nose-wipe test.
