I am looking for some nice shorts after my ride yesterday (30-35 miles) I rode to the park went on all the trails then rode back , therefore my lower parts are raw I don't know what pair would be best for me. I ride to school and work daily and I also take my hard rock to parks and hit the trails, so I do a little bit of everything. The list of shorts

Which is the best of those?

Thanks for all the help

I think you pretty much have to try on a pair of spandex shorts. I wear a med in Pearl Izumi and a large in Performance brand. They fit very different. That being said, I find the gel inserts more comfortable. But you'll get 100 different answers.

You might consider using lubrication instead of spandex. Spandex wouldn't be the ticket for school or work, so consider bringing a small tube of vasaline or Avon "skin so soft" with you. Applied to the tender areas, either of these will reduce rawness and chaffing. You might also consider shaving the areas where chaffing is most problematic. The hair there increases the tendency to chaff. Finally, cleanliness is, indeed, next to Godliness when it comes to sensitive areas. Wear clean underwear every day (and consider some skin-fitting cycling underwear). This will allow you to wear "normal" outerwear and still have a layer of protection between your skin and the fricition of rough clothes and the cycle seat.

Thanks for all the help. When I ride to school or work I don't need padding. I just need it for the long trail or road rides. What would fit that purpose.

Sorry I'm clueless when it comes to bike stuff.
