Hi everyone,

I am new to Bikeforums.

I am planning to purchase a bike for around 500 -700 canadian $, and i looked at a couple of models but unable to decide on one.

Currently i am looking at Scwhinn super sport 3 and Norco Indie4.

I want a bike for commuting in city and also to go on 20-30 km trails during the weekends. The trails here in Montreal are not so bad, but i expect some gravel , stones and occasional potholes etc on the way.

Basing on this, do you think these bikes are good enough?

I wasn't aware that there were any Schwinn dealers in Montreal. In any case, doesn't matter, the Norco is a better bike

Between the two? Norco hands down. We sell Norco at our shop, and that Indie is a solid line up, as is the VFR.
