most already have homeowners insurance. Guess I was suggesting simply contacting your agent, and getting the info. Surely if stolen from home the home owners will cover it. Not suggesting spending thousands of dollars on a separate bike policy

With th proper automobile insurance coverage it coould also be covered for theft from a vehicle.

My renter's insurance covered mine. Just be sure to have the serial# and lots of pics of your bike, also a detailed police report. That will make your life much easier when filling the claim.

There's a new bike lock out now that texts or alerts your phone if the lock is tampered with. Can't recall the name but it is available I think.
