I think this whole thread is a bit Fred-ly
Perhaps any and all posts that reference cyclists who give a doo-doo about "Fred" vs. "serious rider" encounters should be posted in the Cycling Jokes thread, since there is nothing to debate about the status of such cyclists.

Reducing your carbon footprint means reducing the amount of carbon that can or has react(ed) with oxygen, creating CO2. So making some into a permanent fixture such as a bike (whether carbon fiber or wood) is a positive step towards saving the environment.

Yeah, I guess so!

My note was more pointing out the effect of 30 or 40 years of existence on the physiology under discussion and not on specific incidents during any specific activity.
