Classic BF debates.
While folks fritter away lifetimes debating nonsense like world peace, deficit spending, and health care, and so on, we here on BF prefer to stick to the important issues, like chain lube and CF frames.
So in the interest of newbs which might accidently fall down one of these rabbit holes, I'm starting a thread to list and possibly rank these threats to peace and harmony here on BF.
So, what are the great issues of the day?
Remember, we're not here to argue them on either side, just to list them so folks can safely navigate the mine field. BTW we can rank them based on actual import, how hotly theyre debated, or simply frequency here on BF.
Since I mentioned them already, I'll start us off with two.
No.1- chain lube which I believe earns the No.1 rank on any or all measures, but we can debate that too,
NO. X- CF which I'm sure earns a high rank, though I suspect may not be able to keep its place on the podium.
OK go.......

One of the weirdest that pops up every few years is the guy who argues straight gauge spokes are more durable in use than butted. IIRC he tells us he has tried to correct Brandt, DT Swiss and others. Apparently they were not convinced.

I read online that cycling will cause erectile dysfunction and now I'm scared. Will it?

What is the exact reason that idiot three year old in the city park couldn't see I was heading for a Strava KOM, and should I have just run over them to teach them a life lesson?
Will one ever ride the TdF if they have a saddlebag and a frame pump?
Should one even carry a spare tube and pump, or will the next sucker riding by have one for me?
And just how much am I going to get laughed at if I show up with a mirror on my bike?
