Tag it bike security system...???

Hello All, bit of a UK centric question...on security.

Usually wouldn't come across this due to few of my bikes being anywhere near modern but I recently ended up with an aluminium Dawes from Ebay for my wife, but now on hindsight clearly too small (and aluminium). Picked it up from a rather fancy house/B and B business in the back of beyond Staffordshire UK...didn;t look like the criminal lair of an international second hand bike thieving transglobal operation.

The bike has a 'Tag it' security sticker...has anyone come across this???
... because the only info I can get by googling is that Dawes did some kind of hook up with the people behind Tag it with new bikes i.e.free for x period then you pay to continue.
Due to the bike being surplus to requirements/not the original registered owner, has anyone any info on the Tag it security system? Becaused I've no idea whether I stick it back on ebay without any potential nonsense occurring down the line.
It's a bit of a random question I know..and hoping for a specific answer..
Thanks in advance..

Take the sticker off?

I've owned a few bikes with leftover registration stickers on them. Never concerned or bothered me. You have a record of you purchasing in a manner that you believed to be legitimate, I wouldn't worry much about it.

From my google it looks like Tag It provides stickers/magnets for stores to set off alarms if someone tried to steal products. Doesn't sound like anything to worry about. Just remove

I've had clothing with the tag that resembles a thumbtack through the clothing that I had to go back to have removed with no problem. The sticker you have can be removed by you.I've also had a sticker that became affixed to the bottom of my sneaker and set off the store alarm. That was total chaos.lol
