The big storm that hit Chicago went just a bit south of here (on the border of Wisconsin/Minnesota).
I grew up in Lake Effect land, and am continually impressed by the lack of snow in western Wisconsin. The colder temperatures and brutal winds suck, but otherwise, it's not that hard to ride every day.
