The best part about challenging climbs, though, is the descent. No Viking on foot comes close to the efficiency regained going back down the mountain!

A bucket list item for sure!
(watching the grand tour in person, not so much actively participating in the "advanced cheering")

Im thinking more about how I can use "abnormal" time to increase my efficiency exponentially and maybe even time warp to my destination

You should rethink your method of forming beliefs or you'll fall for a politician's flowery bs.
A scientist and a politician can give statements on the same issue. One factual by less flowery, the other flowery but complete bs.

If the old guys were running alongside marathon runners marathoning uphill ten days into a marathon-a-day marathon, do you think they'd have any more trouble briefly keeping up?

I'd rather see the spectators and fans dressed in panda suits and half-nekkid viking suits riding Electra Townies while chasing the marathon runners. Seems fair.

I've also always equated one's ability to convince me of anything by their ability to have successful reading comprehension. I haven't stated any beliefs, just observation. But, if I knew what "One factual by less flowery" meant, I'd have an opportunity to agree or disagree with you.

As far as outside temperatures, I like riding when the temps are around the mid 60's to upper 60's. That seems to me the way to stay cool even when the group is pushing the pace.

That and staying in the middle and on the big ring. Would that be an efficient use of my energy?

I don't agree that spam has to be selling something. It can be redirection to anything that sucks up your time.
