I've got a Kona Paddy Wagon with a 115mm long, 6* stem (which has been mounted in a position to give me more height on the handlebars).

I'm trying to get more of an upright seating position by swapping out the stem and then the handlebars.

Local bike stores don''t have any examples to show me of shorter stems with higher angles, so I'm going the online route.

I've found a couple of options....the FSA OS168 which comes in a 60mm length and a 15*. I've also found the Salsa Guide stem that also comes in 60mm but has a 25* option. Both of these stems also come in 70mm to 100mm options.

Does anyone have any thoughts on a 60mm 15* vs a 60mm 25* stem? Are there any disadvantages of going with the 25* when it comes to steering the bike?

I also plan to order some handlebars that have a bit more sweep vs the flat ones that are on the bike now.

This online tool is useful for doing comparisons to see what will get your bars up, or down where you want them. Experiment putting in longer stems with greater degrees of rise...it can be illuminating. Stem Comparison Tool | yojimg.net
