You'll need to get to 10 posts before you can send or receive a PM, as well. Please look around the forum and make 10 posts over the next couple of days and you're all set.

Can you give a little more detail while we wait for a photo? Two actual threads, or two different sets of threads, the same size or different, on which parts of the part? You know, a hint or two. First thing that comes to mind is a thread-on presta valve adapter, with threads on the inside of one end and other, larger threads on the outside of the other end.

Pic assist, an enlargement of the photo used in your avatar. I do not recognize this piece, but I have not been into the innards of "new" components (like brifters). I do not see two threads but two grooves around the midsection. Are the ends solid or are they drilled and threaded? The piece obviously has wear, so looks like it may operate as a pivot pin for a brake lever, or something along those lines. Dunno. Might be a real mystery part.
