Replacement replica bike decals
Searched ebay, amazon, went to the LBS, e-mailed the oem, & randomly searched google for a few hours. No one offers decals that match to what I have. They are decals & not painted on. Some are close, but there tends to be something different that just makes it not comparable for use.
Any tips or leads for a place?

Can you find graphics online of what you want? Most of the sellers on eBay and etsy just have vinyl cutting machines and can cut out whatever you want from the imagine. Its not going to be officially licensed but you should be able to get a match.

You would probably have to contact Trek and see if they have them. Nobody is going to make aftermarket decals for that bike.

Dufeau -- Have you personally had (good) experience with that company? I had been looking for somewhere to order Motobecane decals from but hadn't been able to find any. I went to Velocals, found decals I like with a descent advertised price. But when I went to my shopping cart the charge for decals was significantly more than what is advertised. My experience has been that something like that is the mark of a fraudulent, or irresponsible website/business.
Edited to add: I queried them via email about the above issues. If/when I hear back from them I'll post it here.

I went to Velocals, found decals I like with a descent advertised price. But when I went to my shopping cart the charge for decals was significantly more than what is advertised. My experience has been that something like that is the mark of a fraudulent, or irresponsible website/business.

I agree with @Lazyass.
Alternatively, if you have a local print shop who isn't too upset about infringing upon copyrights, you may just take the bike to them and have them replicate it.

"Decals with the UV laminate are at a higher price. When you are looking at the item, and select 2mil vinyl with glossy UV laminate, you will notice right away that the price is higher. If you select just the 2mil vinyl, you will see the base price.

I finally got around to mounting my new decals. They really add a nice touch to a refurbished (powder coated) frame. The directions were a little confusing at first...but after contacting the company they clarified. The two issues I had... 1) I was confused about using water to mount them since they come with sticky adhesive. I didn't want to mess up the adhesive. But, they told me the adhesive isn't water soluble so it doesn't affect it. The water is just used so that you can move the decal around for exact (re)placement if/when necessary. When the water dries the decal is permanently in place. And 2) the directions say to peel off the paper side backing, not the plastic side backing...which is OK for the decals going on the right side of the bike. But if you do it that way for the left side...the decal would be backwards. Otherwise I'm satisfied and look forward to ordering from them for my next frame refinish. But...they don't currently carry the decals I need (Tunturi). I asked them about that, and they sent me a form to submit for them to construct what I need.

Probably not the original placement. But I like it this way. The bike is a circa mid 1970s Moto purchased in Paris, and was given to me in the 90s by the original owner.
