Tire Colors Help
So I really like the camel or orange tires, but I notice on pictures from people that have them the part that comes into contact with the road obviously turns black after awhile. So when they are new they look amazing, but after use they just look dirty if that makes sense. Should I stick to black tires or not let the "dirty" look after use of the camel/oranges bother me? Thoughts?

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.
They're tires. You are going to eventually use them up.
Buy whatever floats your boat today. When it comes time to replace them you can buy the same thing if they still make you happy or you can buy black ones if you've grown tired of them.

This might boost this thread's post count:
Somebody is likely to post a scientific chart that will convince you that one color tire or another will make you ride much faster. Don't believe them.

I have two bikes with colored Vittoria tires. One red, the other white. Yes, both are to color coordinate with the bike. Vittoria also wisely puts a black strip where the tire mainly contacts the road. They look good on the bike. Up close the colored part may be a bit dirty but in pics you don't see it so much. Get the color tires you like, they'll wear out eventually anyways and you can then pick the replacement based on your experience.

I’d be more interested in boosting this post’s thread count
I’m currently running Rubino Pros with a black rolling surface and yellow sidewalls. The yellow still looks pretty good after 2300 miles. Pick the color you like, and let the miles do to them what they will. Worn tires are a badge of honor

Black is always a good color.
Why do you care what color your tires are? You really can't see them if you are riding the bike.

I will say my Vittoria Corsa G+s are the best tires I have used on the road and looks don't really worry me because the ride is so excellent. However I think they also do a blackwall version if skinwall ain't ya thing. Also have used Challenge tires in the Pro open tubular variety and same thing they get dirty but they feel real nice and certainly have a wider tires than the Corsa G+s.
Also a useful note from Welcome to Cameltire :: When you need a good tire ::
The soft tread tells us that there is more rubber and less filler. So the soft tread is better.

Blue is clearly the fastest color but orange does come in second. Black is catching up due to the prevalence of CF bikes but that's not a color per se. Orange would make you faster, so I say orange.
