So 300 lb is it? Unless I go to a worksman or a co-motion? Trek 520 rated 275. 920 rated 300. Seriously? Specialized also stops at 300.

It doesn’t seem difficult to go from 240 rider weight to 300 with tools, bottles, hydration, etc for a gravel ride. WTF?

Welcome to my world. I've been ignoring weight limits for years. Well, ever since they started stating weight limits because that was never a thing back in the day. Focus on a quality wheelset and enjoy the ride. I can assure you; if ever you're making a warranty claim for a broken frame, it's not likely they'll be breaking out a scale.

Your wheels might suffer, they are the weak point on many bikes. Even saying that, the wheels on the 920 look pretty stout.

But the frame will likely not care one bit how heavy you are.

Years ago a friend wanted a bike for a very heavy friend of his. Do not know his exact poundage but what I built him was my 22" Peugeot Europe Express 531 frame with 105 ga. spoked steel wheels. Never heard a complaint.
