Tubeless puncture question
I’ve been riding tubeless for the last 2 years. Today more than ever I’m glad I did.
I found this sticking out of my front tire 25miles into a 40mile ride. I heald my breath and pulled it out.... sprayed sealant for a few seconds then it sealed. Added a little air and was back on the road in 2 min with no further problems.
My question to you is... do I need t plug the hole or is the sealant good enough. To tell you the truth I’m having a hard time finding the puncture site now.

In the long term yes, you should put a structural repair in it. In the short term sealant is holding, then it is holding. I have had some sealant sealed holes like that re-open under stress, so you should fix it when convenient so it doesn't become inconvenient.

+1. Plugs are temporary for a hole too big for the sealant. Sure you may get a plug to stay there and it may not leak but it could eventually. I'd wait until you are bored and put fixing that hole from the inside on your list of things to do. In reality a nice small round hole like you have is usually easy blocked with sealant, you don't have a road tire at high pressure which is a positive too. Not as bad as a slit or cut but I'd still fix it anyway.

I had a hole in a tire about that size and the sealant usually held but sometimes I'd get a nice blast of latex in the schnozz (it was my wife's tire). The strip plugs don't seem to work well at road bike pressures.
The smart thing to do would be to patch it from the inside - what do you guys use for an internal patch?

I put rubber cement aided patches over the larger holes like what a screw would cause even if the sealant is holding if for nothing else than peace of mind.
