VOTE!!!

For those in the US of A, tomorrow (Nov 6th) is voting day. Millions have lost their lives and limbs protecting your right to vote. Honor these fallen heroes and celebrate your freedom by expressing your views at the ballot box.

My wife and I went door to door canvassing to get out the vote yesterday, and we're going back out tomorrow. Lucky for me that my workplace gives us the day off for election day.

Such an important privilege not to take for granted! I am a public school science teacher in a southern state, and this year maybe more than any other since I reached voting age is super important for public education in my state. Turnout in midterm elections is usually pretty pitiful, but I'm optimistic we might see more than usual (maybe ever in recent history?) this year.

I vote for a "reset" button. Can we reboot the country? Is that possible?

At least Thomas Jefferson isn't getting bed sores while in his grave. He's rolling over too much!

Regarding cycling (since this is BikeForums) I vote at 7:00 AM, because the lines will be long later since this is a contentious election, and I would be lucky to be home at 8:00 PM anyways. Furthermore, I leave at 5-6 AM for my cycle commute.

So I just called to rent a car for tomorrow, since our family car is already claimed by someone else for Tuesday.

I'm riding my bike to vote, like I did last time. If you ride, post a pic of your election day wheels. Above all, no matter how you get there - Vote!

I hope the bike is still there if the line is long. 🤔

Good message/reminder. But let’s not turn this into a political thread. Closing to further posts.
