I have no idea what "saw thing was hanging off bike rear der" is supposed to convey, but it's fun to say it in a pirate voice.

I am guessing the rear derailleur crashed into a rear wheel spoke, possibly rendering the frame and the wheel junk.

I tried saying that in a pirate voice, and it's nowhere near as fun.

We don't know if he was rich. He could just be pissing away his money on bikes like I've done on hot cars and Ducatis. Just sayin';

Might not even be his bike.

Could be a friend's bike that he broke and was sad.

Maybe it was the bicycle of his slain enemy and he was carting it back as a trophy.

Get a cheap bike, if you break it, you won't be sad.

Exactly, as you’re already sad because you ride a cheap ugly half functional POS for every ride. Breaking it wouldn’t be any different.
