A December To Remember For SRAM Lovers

SRAM drops minimum advertised price for holiday shopping. Seems like for some companies the glut has arrived. Contains a nice dig at Shimano by way of deflection, if you enjoy that kind of thing.

The Shimano dig was obviously too subtle for me. Where was it?

A lot of online sources still have few axs cassettes. I had no problems finding all other parts since July. Force and Rival AXS are significantly cheaper than Ultegra and 105 Di2 parts I've seen advertised.

A very subtle dig. So subtle I had to read the article a few times and then interpret it from a lens where I am a competitor with a victim mentality.
Retailers can now drop their MAP, but that doesnt change the fact that they could have sold product for that same price just last week.
MAP /= RPM.

I've been eyeballing the AXS GX mtn bike stuff for a week now. Have it in my amazon cart along with a NX chain and cassette for a bit over $500. Only thing really stopping me is my 11 speed setup is working fine and a small hope it will get even cheaper.

I think the dig was less at Shimano and more at IBDs but that has kind of been the case for a while. Shimano generally is trying to clean up and make sure there is some sense to pricing and not just whoever has the most money can compete to lower the price while smaller businesses get screwed.

This would be great if you could find the products readily available. It took me about 3 months to find rim brake shifters. I ended up buying everything last week when I was able to find it all. The cassette was\is the hardest item to locate. I lucked into a 10-28 when my online purchase fell through. The LBS ordered the 10-28 Force AXS cassette for a customer and they had to bail on it. So I snatched it up. I am just waiting on my BB to come in on Thursday. I installed the shifters, rim brakes, and cables tonight. Got dark, so going to put the derailleurs on tomorrow while the sun is out.
