Science doesn't distinguish class of wheels. The math was done for a very wide range of wheel weights. There was no discussion of racing wheels nor does it matter.
You fix my response and also insult my intelligence? Not funny or cool. Welcome to my ignore list.

...incorrect. If you go back to the horrible, dysfunctional thread you are referencing, you can find the post where I spent time watching the authoritative video presented in defense of this proposition, and went to the trouble of pointing out where this authority mentions the limitations on the wheels studied and calculated. "Of course we are talking about wheels with very small differences..." are his words, not mine.
...you ask me to "limit my psychobabble", and are now displeased that I used small words in my response. OK.
But thank you for the ignore list addition. I don't think our conversations have gone well in the past, thus I conclude they will not do so in the future.

Warning: more psychobabble. Avoid if that's not your thing.

...thus, the insidious role of the internet. Were we more limited in our access to a larger demographic of the populace, in seeking this moral support, real exchange of ideas might still be possible. As it stands, we end up in threads like this one.
...thus, all the, at times heated, arguments here about what sort of bicycle is "best to ride".
Belief disconfirmation
The contradiction of a belief, ideal, or system of values causes cognitive dissonance that can be resolved by changing the challenged belief, yet, instead of effecting change, the resultant mental stress restores psychological consonance to the person by misperception, rejection, or refutation of the contradiction, seeking moral support from people who share the contradicted beliefs or acting to persuade other people that the contradiction is unreal.

Free choice
This type of cognitive dissonance occurs in a person who is faced with a difficult decision and when the rejected choice may still have desirable characteristics to the chooser. The action of deciding provokes the psychological dissonance consequent to choosing X instead of Y, despite little difference between X and Y; the decision "I chose X" is dissonant with the cognition that "There are some aspects of Y that I like".

It seams like this thread has run its course. Shall we close it? Like if you want it closed.
