Niterider adaptor

I recently bought one of these to mount my Lumina 650 to the bottom of my K-Edge Wahoo handlebar mount. I originally believed that it was designed to permit quick removal but apparently that’s not true.
Looks like after you slide it into position you then tighten down the two small screws on the adaptor to hold it tight against the light, then tighten the screw passing through where the adapter joins the K-Edge.
All very solid but a bit of a process to remove the light for charging. Has anyone come up with a trick or tip to make removal faster and hopefully not require any tools ?

Bikes: Too many bikes, too little time to ride

Can you replace the bolt with one with a knob? Like what the GoPro mounts have?
