Just a reminder

I just wanted to share my experience. I had been playing around with saddle height and then got distracted with putting a few bikes together and shaking them down and then I ended up relaxing the wheel of my daily driver. After everything settled I started noticing I had some discomfort in my right hip. I started playing around with shims and all sorts of other things. Finally I decided to raise the saddle 5mm today as I had plenty of room at the bottom of the stroke. No pain at all today. Just a reminder, make sure of the basics.

Not the least bit clear on what this means, or could mean in trying to guess whether this was an auto-complete filler.

I won’t mention what I thought it was code for.

Always a good idea to mark seat height with some tape if you're taking it in for service.
Seems like I always forget this too.

Bikes: Bikes??? Thought this was social media?!?

Relaxing a wheel? Further back in the dropout or without adjuster? Maybe.

Chill your wheels.

Years of flying or shipping the bike to tours finally drilled it into my head.

I'm going to start using this...

"Bro, relax your rear wheel, I was just joking"

"Babe, relax your rear wheel, I got this"

I remember reading that Eddy Mercx carried a spare seat post clamp bolt because he adjusted it so often it would fatigue and break.
