I have several of aluminum bikes with kickstands.
One is even that clamp-on old standard. The others have bosses on the left side chainstay that accept a standard mount. No reason to re-invent, unless you bought a bike that cannot accommodate either.

Somehow, in over 50 years of riding I have never once wished I had a kickstand on my bike. There always seems to be some other (and usually more stable) way of parking my bike. Leaning it against a wall, tree, fence or post never seems to fail me. I can’t recall stopping anywhere without at least one of those options available. In which case I would just lay it down, as I often do when stopping on a grass field.
