Please stop doing the handlebar wave.
The half wave (also known as the handlebar or Royal Wave, depending on your region) given by cyclists who picture themselves the Sir Galahad of the bike trails as they regally acknowledge other cyclists and offer benevolence to the poor serfs on foot who they pass; it’s less a gesture of camaraderie and more a performance of imagined nobility. A silent, self-important salute, it carries the energy of someone bestowing favour. It’s not community, it’s theatre. So unless you’re about to pull a sword from a stone, just nod if you must gesture

No handlebar, but you get the idea. I now raise my middle finger when I get the handlebar wave, all without taking my hands off the bar of course.

I never knew it had a name, or that it bothers people. I'll try it tomorrow.

I've never done this before, until today.
Now it's all I will do.
And the grumpier you look, the more I'll wave.

People should wear jerseys with their names on them.
Maybe backwards on their back so you can read them in a mirror after they pass.
If you don't wave at the farmers around here they gossip about you at the coffee shop.

People wave at me so I flick them off because how dare they not know I prefer a very complicated wave that is performed with over 73 individiual steps and if they don't do it they are jerks.
Also what's the deal with these costume people also setting of my Garmin when I am totally beating them at the race I came up with in my head. Just because I am totally beating them from behind doesn't mean they should be wearing costumes and setting off my Garmin. Speaking of Garmin every time I use it I end up in a lake because there are different shades of blue and I cannot be bothered to look at my surroundings that is why I got the Garmin so I could be in a computers the entire time.
I am the real king of cycling because I know how to wave and race on the MUP and I am an expert level mountain biker when I hit those curbs.

Another amazing idea for a ridiculous trolling thread which may get some momentum. You must have a had a few minutes to think while waiting for your Double Double at Tim Hortons.
