Found out something
Found out I can do 28 miles in 2 hours on a 15 year old Huffy mountain bike. Good/bad? First long ride I have done. Most of my cycling is 5.5 miles one way to work and back. Also found out the pain in my left sit bone when I dismounted my trusty/rusty steed.
The same bone that I broke in a car accident about 10 years ago. I have not felt this pain before on my commutes to work. So I may have just over exerted myself a little. Now 2 hours later my hip is a little stiff. Thinking if this happens whenever I do a long ride I may want to invest in a new saddle. Any recommendations? Thanks

If you are asking if your time is good, i would say it is good for someone that hasn't ridden a lot. Also depends on terrain, wind, width of tires, tread of tires, etc. If you rode that on a knobby tired mountain bike on pavement with some wind, that is a decent time. Probably about 2-3 mph behind a rider with a lot of miles under his belt in better than average condition. (me

Good or bad for time, elapsed time, depends a whole lot on delays, like stop lights. If you hit a lot of lights wrong that is a pretty good time for any bike (assuming fairly long lights).
Even if it is pure open road it is a decent time for the bike you describe.
