PC Crash. I need web links (HELP)
My pc had a fatal crash. The one thing I didn’t save was my favorites list. 5 plus years of cycling related web sites lost. I must of had at least 400 to 500 sites listed. Can guys help me out and post some links?
I have found most of the big name sites.nashbar…ice bike and so on. Looking for those small hard to find sites like blogs, Bike shops and large Ken Kifer type-sites. Commuting, Winter cycling and MTB.
Thanks
Johnny

If the hard drive has not been formatted (or had a complete mechanical failure), then I can probably help you get your Favorites list back. Some more info would help.
1) what operating system does the old hard drive use (WindowsXP, Windows2000, or what)
2) what operating system does your working computer use. If it's WindowsXP, be specific about which version (Home or Professional).
3) are you OK with opening the case of your computer and adding your old drive as a secondary to facilitate the recovery
Also, if you tried to recover stuff already in the fashion that you see me steering towards, and got an "ACCESS IS DENIED" message when trying to get to your stuff, I can help get you past that, it's probably just the NTFS Ownership thing like usual.

How about a couple of links to sites that have a lot of links listed in catagories?
Here a a couple to get you going--
https://www.bikelane.com/
https://www.mikebentley.com/bike/
There are a lot of sites on the first link that you should find useful.

I'm considering keeping all my favorites on https://del.icio.us/ so they're not tied to a particular PC. Anyone have any experience with this?
