Best Bicycle Shops
How about a thread where everyone identifies one of their favorite local bike shops. It would be great information for those of us who travel often for work or pleasure - we could check out fine shops in other localities.
The only thing is there should be no conflicts of interest here, you shouldn't work at or own the shop, just rate them highly due to selection, service and attitude.
I'll start:
Tampa, FL
University Bicycle Center
1220 E. Fletcher Ave
Tampa, FL 33612
813-971-2277 Fax: 813-977-2440 1-800-881-2472
10:00 to 7:00 Monday - Saturday

Haven's Bikes and Boards in Farmington, NM for service, attitude, and pricing. Selection is improving all the time.

Has anyone in Central Ohio visited this store? It looks huge. Being a Trek owner, I was wondering if it was worth the trip. It's a little ways from my house.

KG BIKES, Central Ohio Dayton Area!
DItto to K&G and Mad props to the Xenia store!!!!
Twice now the Xenia store has went out of their way to sell me what I wanted. They have been more than helpful not with just buying bikes but with every question I have ever had.
There is 3 LBS stores closer to me like within 15 miles. And I will drive the 26 to Xenia and the 30+ something to Centerville because these guys are awesome.

Based on one visit and two recommendations on BF, let me add Two Wheel Drive in Albuquerque, NM. Small shop with good selection and positive attitude.

I've been cycling for a while and usually I have nothing good to say about LBS's but since moving here to Albuquerque I have to say that the folks at Two Wheel Drive on Central Avenue are a great bunch of people. It is locally owned and whether or not you are there to buy a new bike or just window shop they are always friendly and helpful.

In Riga I like Velo Bikeri. It's a small shop owned by two guys, Andis who is an ex-racer and Vlads who is a DHer. They have good service, excellent prices, fast special orders, and it's the kind of place where you can stop in for a chat and all the neighborhood boys flock to after school. They also do things like swap out tires on new bike purchases for free. This doesn't often happen here in Riga. All in all it's what an LBS should be.
