Bikes: 2005 Trek 1500
Would this be a worthy upgrade?
I have a '05 Trek 1500. It has been a great bike but I already have the itch to upgrade. The auction for this 5200 looks pretty good. Best of all its in my home town!!!! I called them and they said I could come and look at the bike. Do you guys think its smart to buy a 2001 vs. my 2005. I realize its a lot more bike than the 1500, especially the frame. Any comments, suggestions?

Looks good apart from what looks like rust spots on the chain. If that's all that is wrong then is should be a good buy.
Consider how much riding you intend on doing though. If you aren't doing that much then I would stick with the 1500.
