If you know who i'm talking about then please send an e-mail so GMA will air the segment with him in it about being killed by a distracted driver. They seem to have put off airing it several times.
Andrea.beaumont@abc.com She is the one doing the segment.

I sent an e-mail to Andrea Beaumont and the reply stated she was out of the office on assignment. The reply also mentioned a couple of phone numbers, including her cell phone. I am wondering if it might not be pushing things too far to give her a call also… What do you think?

Bikes: oh a bunch.

I doubt she has little say on whether or not the segment airs or not. You'd have to talk to one of her bosses.

That gave me goose bumps...

will do...

it weighs heavy on me to know people all too often drive without any regard for others sharing the road

Well it looks like they are not going to show it because it isnt upbeat enough for there liking. Now is that crap or what. Now i suggest a much stronger worded e-mail but dont forget, any thing we put in it that is neg will reflect on cyclist so keep the wording printable.

If they don't air it, could they at least put it up on their website so those of us who care can see it?

If she is the producer of the segment, then her involvement with the story is done. She finished it, and handed it over to the program producers. She probably has less influence on her story airing than we do, and she probably wants it to air just as much as we do.

Senior Producers, Executive Producers, those are the folks we need to get in touch with. Can anybody watch the end credits of GMA and catch their names? (on a weekday - weekend news might be different people)

In the meantime, it won't hurt to send something through their web site:

https://abc.go.com/site/contactus.htm...ning%20America

Believe it or not, tv networks do want to know what kind of stories their viewers will watch. Problem is, how many of us are regular GMA viewers? Maybe we should suggest they air the story on another, less "upbeat" ABC News program, like 20/20.

I would really love to see this story air.

I've Tivo'd GMA every time the story was rumored to air. Of course it never has. I have learned that GMA is a very sensational BS program with absolutely no interest to me. I pity the lazy housewives that sit home and watch this drivel.

The most amazing thing is that the show is 2 hours long. Holy crap! Thank god for the Tivo as i was able to FF through it searching form sydney's story.

It looks like they still wont air it.
Might get aired in the local Denver market.
Andrea said she doesnt have the final word and thinks its important as she is a cyclist.
She said they have gotten a ton of e-mails so keep them coming.
