Cadence?

Cadence?
I was wondering how can I accomplish my cadence 90 or more. I have a double rings in front. any time I use the top cahin ring, which I do most of my riding, I cant hit 90 at all. If I go to lower ring, I can hit 90 or above most of the time. Should I use the second ring most of my riding. which chain ring do you guys use while riding. Which one gives you more speed. I feel like I get more speed when I go on top ring, but I get tired quicker.
Thanks

When you ride with more cadence you have to use a lower gear. Remember that power is fixed, if you just pedal faster in the same gear you need more power which you dont have.
Gear down, spin up.
For training in high cadence pedalling, use a very low gear, forget about speed and ramp up your cadence gradually until it is above 100. Your muscles will gradually adapt and your style will improve.

Michael, Which ring or gear help me to go faster, Top ring withhigh gear or lower ring with high gear? Some time when I'm riding with groups, I need to accelerate so I can catch up to the fast rider. My question is, Is the higher gear and top ring help to go faster?
Thanks

Generally, you will use whatever front chainring \ rear cog combo that enables you to hit the cadence you are shooting for. However, if you can pull 100 in the big ring small cog combo then you are really hauling.
Basically, you disregard speed and train your legs for a higher cadence. Then you start working on power by moving up in gear.
Consequently, a high cadence in a high gear will enable you to keep up (generally). Focus on staying in a high cadence first.
