Anyhow, some forums look on posts regarding their competition as bad form.

Forum admin of Bigbikeforum needs to condense those forums. Most large forums started out with a few sub-forums. As time and traffic grows and if demand warrants it, then forums are split into more specific forums. Keep it simple and focussed.

bikejournal.com is pretty good.
https://www.dailypelotonforums.com is also good. Floyd (yes, that Floyd) has been posting there during his rehabilitation from surgery.

bikejournal.com is fine if your not black, Christian, or Hispanic. Bunch of anti-religon racist arseholes posting over there. They hold an annual reuion ride, but only if your invited by a certian few people and live in the upper midwest.
roadbikereview.com is good. Even has a forum for posting pics of Podium Girls. However, I do find many a double post from here over there.

BTW, I don't see any reason why there couldn't be several reunion rides per year, as long as there was people to organize them. How about an April reunion ride in South Carolina?

The reunion rides are not by invitation; anybody who wants to register can. And as for the locations of the reunion rides, the '05, '06 and '07 rides were where they were only because some members in those locales volunteered to host them. Texas was discussed for '07, but nobody stepped up in time.

LOL - the only person I'd like to see banned from any forum is Ed Dolan, who infests alt.rec.bicycles.recumbent and rec.bicycles.misc and blithely insults virtually everyone who is not him. Unfortunately, only his ISP can cut him off from the newsgroups and that hasn't happened yet. FWIW, I always enjoyed having you on chat. (You're not kidding - you got banned? I can't begin to guess why.)
For the record, and to keep on-topic, I inhabit here - in the 50+, recumbent, and general discussions, also Bikejournal and Bentrideronline. I'm also in a couple of bike-related mail groups.

I was causing too much trouble in chat. For what ever reason, several others complained about me and controversial subject matter. Since I am a contrubuting member there, I cannot be completely banned until my year runs out. I was not insulting anyone, nor was I making threats, just controversial subject matter. Also consider I called out slantz for considering endorphins an illeagal drug.
