Good Luck Or Bad Luck??

Good Luck Or Bad Luck??
It’s Sunday morning and the sun is shining and I’m ready to ride no less than 30 miles. Since my local bike path was overly crowed, I veered off and road to Central Park. After completely one lap around the park and heading for the next, up ahead, twenty or so pigeons made the road their rest stop. Not to long ago, I was blessed by one flying over head. (You know what I mean).
Anyway, I thought the right thing to do was too moved out of their way to pass, so I did. (far right). I kept my eye on this one pigeon closest to my left. As I got closer, I had perfect clearance. As soon as my front wheel was at the exact same point, this pigeon decides to go for it. It lounges straight for my spokes (front wheel). I had no time to break!! As I was trying to clip out and pull the breaks, I was screaming.. OMG.. NO!! PLEASe...NO!! I could hear it in between my spoke as the wheels was turning. I couldn’t believe this just happened to me. I jumped off my bike, leaving it right there and ran to the curbside too puked my guts out. People came over to offer their assistance. I return to retrieve my bike off the path and my brand new “Dolce” was covered. I was shaking like a leaf and yes, wearing mid shorts, it was also covered.
People were nice enough to dispose what they could from the road and offer me water to clean myself off. I had to take at least 30 mins. to calm this body down. They suggested I relax and continuing riding. After cleaning my bike the best I could, the only choice for me was to return home as quickly as possible. The police said I was lucky I didn't hurt myself because some people ends up going over their handlebars.
I walked my bike out of the park and within 5 mins of existing; there was a very loud boom. Two cars
collided on 59th Street. I said OMG.. Friday was the 13th. This is crazy. I got to get home!! I stopped by my LBS to pick up my free weights and made it home safely.
Still in disbelief, good or bad luck, today would have been a better day to hit the gym.

I live in a block of flats and one day my brother and I saw a falcon (maybe hawk) land on the balcony railings. We tried (in vain) to feed it so as it would stay, the reason was to keep those flying rats (as Koffee says) away.

Yuch! I did that to a rabbit once, I ended up in the dirt with two broken spokes, and one heck of a mess on my hands. I was able to take a dip in a near by river to clean the bike and myself. I tied the spokes together and was able to ride the bike home.
