I think you have bigger problems than selling your bike back if you can't seem to figure out what a road is. Do you live on an aircraft carrier or something? *edit* for clarification and possibly a little less harshness. i usually find roads to get out of town. that's where the fun is in biking. |

coolisa looks like she is college age....hey you don't happen to attend Notre Dame do you? That would be too perfect.

It all depends. $400 can get you a nice used bike. |
it isnt a road bike (It doenst have drop bars(it isnt one that you hunch over its a normal bike))
but still. 8 miles is piss to the wind. Anything less than 20 is just geting around town. |
You have a bigger problem than this bike...

Its Pink! (my Bike)

You obviously need help on the mental side of your riding. Let me give you a little advice on thinking about something else and taking your mind off the pain. When I feel pain or think about turning around and giving in on a ride I think about things I like to do or others pain that's worse. I literally close my mind off 85% of my surroundings using my 15% reserve to guide my bike straight and avoid trouble.
Go out on a 20 mile ride on your new pink bike and when you get bored or feel pain think about something else. Examples of things I think about (here comes the scary part LMAO!) If I'm stuck on quad pain I think about WWII or War movies I've seen with guys getting there legs blown off and guts splattered all over and realize my quad pain is nothing NOTHING compared to what they went through. If I'm having a good ride but getting bored I think of things I've always wanted to do one is flying a fighter jet like an f-18, I actually put my self in the cockpit and fly the sky and before I know it I've cleared some miles. I won't go into why I have a hot naked chick taped to my stem :D Keep riding your bike, don't sell it you will want to ride it again soon once you come out of this slump........... |

I've seen a new Schwinn Fastback for <$400. And Lisa, if you're not burning enough calories, I suggest riding more.

Hmmm, you seem to be dumb, young, and female. Can I come visit? |
I think after you wrote your title, everything else got pretty questionable.

Oh yeah! I know which bike you are talking about! Your talking about the new to 07 pink no hunching 8X24 cycle. I have heard those are awesome. I didn't get one as they didn't offer them in anything but pink. I also found that my good old fashioned hunching model was actually faster so I figured I would keep it. It is a 2002 red hunching 9X27 model, it wasn't top of the line in its day but it's served me well. What would be really cool is if they came out with some kind of cool hunching and non-hunching model with shifters you could lean against when you didn't want to hunch and could just switch gears with a tap of the fingers. Man that would be cool. Maybe in 2008 we will see a Pink hunch-r-no hunch model with 3X30 gears! Man wouldn't that be awesome? Perhaps they could have stick or no stick pedals too! :D Incidentally, now that my silliness is over, I think you are describing what is known as a hybrid. Most people call them straight bars as opposed to non-hunching, although full road bikes have shifters that do indeed allow you to ride unhunched. Glad you decided to keep the bike. Hope you learn to enjoy it as much as I have mine. |

Maybe you could trade it in on a more expensive bike?
