On the surface they are the greatest current cyclist and one of the greatest hollywood money attractions.

What you don't see is they are two corporate pawns combining their efforts to further themselves and take advantage of we the people through advertising.

My God, I sure hope that radical right wing, NRA supporting, Hummer driving Schwarzenegger doesn't run for governor of my state 'cause the uninformed majority here would probably vote him in just because they like his crappy Hollywood movies!

It's always refreshing to see an eloquent, unbiased article such as this one

P.S. I own a Subaru Impreza

Two great republicans, Lance and Arnold, like it!

(I think Arnold beats out Lance in the who's with who debate, and don't forget, its whats inside)

I remember reading that Ah-nold is supposedly pro-choice, pro-gun control, and pro-gay rights. I can't think that the "radical right wing" is going to be overly enamoured of him unless it's an act. And since Arnold can't act.

A Hummer is nothing but an overpriced piece of $h!t.

I guess that sounds biased so I'll also include most SUVs.

If we're going to revive an old thread, at least revive an old thread properly... can't we piggyback these comments onto the end of:

Are you in California too ? I gotta believe that he would be better than the jackass we have in there now... at least Arnold has spearheaded some initiatives such as after school programs for kids... and was on the Presidential advisory committee on physical fitness... ever look around at the abundance of rotund elementary school kids out there ?? Someone needs to get their butts on some bike... maybe Arnold wouldn;t be too bad !

Don't forget my 4-door pick-up. Take it to the "I hate SUVs etc" thread.

Anyway, I didn't see anything disgusting in the pic. I'd say Arnold is more well known/recogonizable world wide. If they get something from each other, who cares.

It took me two paragraphs to figure out how to say what you said in 9 words. Will you be my English teacher?

I don't think you need me ... you seem to write just fine. Unfortunately for me, I'm generally not too wordy because I don't have the attention span to write nor read lengthy posts.
Your post wasn't too lengthy

Isn't it odd how we......who ride cycles.......are both from the ultra conservative to the ultra liberal, and we can share this common sport that we all enjoy. I talk to people everyday while riding that I probably would not give the time of day if I were at a political debate with them. If we could just learn to be more tolerant of one another. ...and not be like the current generation of win at all costs, how much dirt can you get on your opponent type ..politicians that hold office today. Lets enjoy our commonality, and practice a little tolerance, and a little less name calling with regards to Arnold, Lance, and Robin.

OK, I threw out my copy of the "Heavenly Bodies" edition of People magazine (RATS!)

Toward the back, there is a photo of Awnode looking very much like an average 55 year old guy. Flabby man breasts, roll around the middle.

Seems he is human after all.

Someone with a scanner must still have it.

What to you expect from Arnold as far as his physical condition. He is after all getting up in years now, he was Mister Universe in 1974 I believe almost 30 years ago. As for running for governor he might not be a bad choice, would most likely help our school districts and the kids rather then keep cutting their funding.

Well, that's my point. He's human and 55. He's not what he was 30 years ago and (I think) 30 years ago he probably wasn't all that natural (can anyone say "the juice"?) in the first place. Still his present image has a lot to do with what he was then, not what he is now. Maybe some long distance cycling would help him get back in shape!

It's good that he served the public through the government as a physical education embassador and I think that would still be his best strength to help the country.

As far as "the juice" goes, here's a photo from the early 60's that shows a top fitness level

Now, 10 years later we get, Arnold. Something went on here. Training and nutrition didn't develoup that fast to get such dramatically different results. It now looks like he's off "the juice" to me!

FWIW, Arnold admitted he'd let himself go a bit over the years, and he had to work extra hard to get back to that muscled physique he had in T1 and T2, cause in T3, he had a nudie scene, and he didn't want to use a double for the shot. Anyone who saw T3 care to comment as to if he had the thick middle and flabby body or not?

What's wrong? A public figure who is a bikie and happens to make lots of $ making really bad movies? Lance and cycling as a whole will gain cred by association--painful as it may be to realize!
