Fuji Ansolute Lx

I purchased a new Fuji Absolute LX recently and want to know what are your opinions on the bike? I wanted something along the lines of a road bike but did not want the type of handle bars which keep you bent over all of the time. I have put nearly 80 miles on it and i love it! But the more i look at other bikes and compare them it seems like i may have bought something at the bottom of the food chain.

Top of the Food chain road bikes are $5,000-$10,000 and you would have less fun riding them.

I have the older Fuji Absolute 2004 model. I felt the same way you do about handle bars at first. But eventually I found that a straight bar on an aluminum frame was too hard on my hands and wrists on trips over 7 miles or so. I also found that I wanted to drop down sometimes when fighting hard winds.

It now has more than 10,000 miles on it. I've had to replace tires, wheels, cassettes, some of the front gear (it all needs to be replaced) along with the usual stuff. But its likely many of the same components would have had to be replaced even if I had spent twice the money.
