disc brake/quick release HELP!!!!!

I'm so frustrated.......HELP!

I just got a new Trek 6000 last week and I can't figure out the damn quick release, disc brake system. It has Avid BB-5 disc brakes (which are bomb) with the stupid new quick release system (the devil). Every time I put the front tire on and tighten the thingy (sorry....i'm kinda new at this, ha) I get brake friction on the rim. I don't know if I'm tightening things wrong or what, but I can't go back to the bike shop again. I've already been three times in the past week. I've tried everything. Please.....someone help me.

Thanks in advance.

Bikes: A few.

Make certain the wheel is properly centered in the dropouts before tightening the quick release lever.

Yes, I guess it's the clix system. You have to release the tire and then pull the "release valve" to actually remove the tire.
