What's your 2001 mileage?

4,450 miles so far (Does that convert to about 6,800 kilometers?) . . . with a few more days left in the year to get it to about 4,600. About 1,000 more than last year . . . and next year, I hope to add at least another 1,000.

Coincidently. why a Land Rover? Do you work in the forest and requires 3-ton of 4-wheel drive?
I don't mean to be as sassy as that may sound.

Sounds like a great cross-Canada ride, how long did it take, what bike did you use, what route?
I want to hear all about it!

It took 53 days. My wife is a photographer and we have a VW Westfalia so every AM we would agree on a campground for the evening and go our separate ways. My bike is a Litespeed Classic with Chorus 9s. We left May 13 because we had to be in Stowe VT to take care of a B&B for some relatives starting July 20, but really this was too early. Still lots of snow in the mountains and killer headwinds which don't change to westerlies till mid June. For example one day in Sask there was a 50k headwind with gusts to 65...I rode for 10 hours in the drops the whole time and did 81k. Other than times like that it was awesome.
