drive by butt slapping?

It talks about a problem that I hadn't been aware of - drive by ass slapping. Is this an actual problem for the lady folk? Being a dude this has never happened to me - but now it's gotten me curious.

I know some lady cyclists who claim to have had this happen to them. I see no reason to doubt their veracity. I think in every instance they were riding alone. That leads me to think that people who abuse ladies are probably cowards.

We (society) seem to think the F word in something like this is O.K. We, (society) then shouldn't be at all surprised by the butt slapping.

I have no idea whether it is true or not, but years ago, I worked with a guy who said he once did a drive by slap on the butt of a girl on a bike. Knocked her down and broke his arm.

I think you're right. We (sailors) did a lot of F-wording and butt slapping on my submarine ... it was all in good fun though, and a small subset of (society).

But that aside, my wife got a ride-by boob squeeze a couple of years ago. She was riding slowly on a MUT and a kid about 15 rode by in the opposite direction and reached out and copped a feel. She said it was HARD, more of an assault than just a squeeze.
I was jogging about 15 feet behind her, and I'm afraid I clotheslined him off the bike. It was just reflex--I heard her shout and I just reached out and dumped him on his butt.

Never had a slap but did experience a drive-by-fruiting last weekend. Minding my own business on a high speed descent some yahoo in an oncoming pickup threw an apple at me while yelling obscenities on what he thought my sexual orientation was. Hit right on the knee and just about knocked me off the bike. Things like that may seem fun but it sure is dangerous.

I recall recently reading a BF post from a guy who reported being butt-slapped by an attractive chick on a motorcycle. Both were traveling at low speed, and afterward, she turned around, smiled, and waved.

I wonder about the intention of the majority of the butt smackers.
A playful smack from a friend when you are off the bike is one thing, but are these drive-by smackers just unaware that doing the same thing to a cyclist could result in a serious injury?
Is it sometimes intentionally malicious? Just sexually harassing? Different in every situation?

In today's mentality with the holy-screechie-crowd seeing SEX in rock formations and clamoring to have them blown up (I'm serious!), soon smacking someone on the butt - even between friends - will be legally construed as an illegal lewd and lascivious act. Right up there with **** and child molestation. Butt-slappers will be doing 10 years in prison if the whack-job crew gets it's way. Just watch.
