Kryptonite shackle compatibility, Evolution Mini vs KryptoLok Series 2 Mini?

Are the U shackles for the above two locks compatible? Both types of locks are listed as using 13mm shackles, although the Evolutions have better steel. Both types are also listed as being 3.25", however, the metric equivalent is listed as 8.3cm for the Evolution and 8.2cm for the KryptoLok.

Why I'm asking: It looks like I'd be able to lock up my bike via the Sheldon Brown method using the 3.25x5.5" Evolution Mini, aka the "Bike Messenger" lock. A 3.25x7" KryptoLok Series 2 Mini would then be the perfect length to lock the front wheel to the frame downtube. To have matched looking locks, it would be nice to get two Evolution crossbars and use a 7" Series 2 shackle with one of them.

Thanks for doing the experiment! Be aware though that the Series 2 hoop isn't as advanced a grade of steel as on the Evo's.

This afternoon I bought an Evo Mini. The LBS had both the Evo and Series 2 Minis. I didn't get to try swapping parts, but I did notice that the packaging for both claimed an 8.3cm width.

Now to get a second Evo Mini that's keyed alike, if they still offer that possibility, ... and a Series 2 ...
