Yes they make a good product. They're made in Taiwan like a great number of bicycles both great and crappy.

Bikes: Ritchey P-series prototype, Diamondback, Nishiki Triathelon Pro.

Go inform yourself. Computers are great tools for research.
Just asking 8888 is moot.

^ That was kind of uncalled for. What better place to get opinions than a bike related message board?

Yes, Giant makes good bikes.

This question is constantly being asked on this board. Unfortunately, it can only be determined by the rider and not really by someone's subjective opinion. If he asked, Huffy, Any good? Where are they made? The answer would be easy.

Once a bike goes over the 1,500.00 price range, you're getting good value regardless of the brand. The only way to determine which one works for you is to test ride as many as possible.

The low-end ones are made in mainland China, the top end ones in taiwan.
You pedal, they go.
As large brands go, they are quite OK, and very good in places.

"Do a search on the net." Good idea But I rather ask people that actually own the bikes in question. Everyone claims their products as the "Best"
Thanks anyways .

ps
Ill buy the Trek.

Bikes: Too Many

Giant makes frames for over 40% of major brands in the bike shops. Not only are they a good bike but cheaper for equal quality.

Same poster, Gary Fisher bikes, any good.
I perhaps could be more constructive in my post, I bothered to post a link for the Fisher and the member should, if he\she has research skills get a background and have source info for mtb development.

https://www.firstflightbikes.com/atb.htm nice site for info on mtbs.

While $1,500.00 hundred dollars might not be enough for a high end Giant Road bike, you can still get a "Revive". Afterall, he didn't mention that he was looking for a road bike.
