How is this Jamis?

https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/d...242934041.html

Looks nice to me, and should be right about my size (I'm 5'9, current bike is a touch big at 56cm). He's listed all the components, but I'm not familiar with the manufacturers - is this a good deal?

I'm currently riding an old fixed gear conversion, but am going to start commuting farther (~6 miles) soon. I was thinking of getting an IRO Mark V, but have been keeping an eye on the local craigslist postings. What do you guys think of this bike?

Thanks a lot for any advice!

The Aurora is Jamis's touring model, and its a great bike that I use for commuting and light touring. However, the specs are bull****. Do those look like cantilever brakes? If this is an Aurora, its an older model, and the guy has switched a lot of the components on it (sidepull brakes, clipless pedals). The listing smells of stolen bike.

Looks like a 2002 Jamis Aurora. Agreed that some of the components have been switched. The price is also high for a 6 year old bike that probably cost ~$600 new.
Here's the spec list from bikepedia.com.

Oh weird, in the pic of the bike on bikepedia, it had sidepull brakes! Its the text that is wrong. I think the guy's bike is pretty much stock, and the guy was just lazy and cut and pasted without bothing to read the list. I take back what I said about it being stolen.

For some odd reason that one year they went with sidepull brakes?
