For some reason, when I think of Mardi Gras, something completely different comes to mind.

Of course, once every year, they also have the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. Let's just say the participants in that generally wear a lot less than in Rainman's picture. It might be interesting for the sake of novelty, but it's probably not the place one would take one's grandmother.
