Performance Bike rocks!

Today, I got my order from Performance that I did for the double points weekend. Along with that, I received two pieces of mail from Performance, and I assumed they were flyers or something. Imagine my shock when I opened the first and counted up that I received 10 (TEN) $10.00 coupons, and the second envelope had an additional $10 coupon. So I got $110 in coupons, and I spent about $400 at the store, so I got my 20% back in spades! Whoa, Performance rocks!
Along with those coupons, I still have all the coupons I've saved since I joined. I must have at least $400 in coupons by now, so I'm now trying to figure out what big ticket item I want to purchase. I have to say, I like getting money back from Performance, especially after I bought everything cheap because it was on sale. I am really liking Performance right now!
Performance bike rocks! Whooo hooooooooooooo!!!

Well, I'm glad someone's having a good experience with Performance. I certainly never did. OTOH, the owner of my FBS just called me up and said he's holding a free ticket for me to go with him to Interbike. I estimate that if I added up this, that and the other thing, I've received around $300 to $400 per year of stuff from my FBS... everything from ride tickets to random gifts and free service.

PriO, are you a member of the performance bike club? In order to receive the coupons, you have to be a member, then when you spend at the store, on the site, or use the catalog, you get points, which accumulates into the coupons they send out. If you're spending money there, it doesn't make sense not to become a member. I think you pay like $20 for the membership, but I've gotten that money back about 2 mailings into my first membership. Everything else is just gravy from here on out.

At least this is what I can tell - I signed up in-store and have only made web purchases since, but keep getting coupons sent to me.

). However, if you try adding your points to your cart at checkout, I think they only account for 1% off, instead of the expected 10% - so your 1000 points online are good for $1 off your order, as opposed to the $10 coupon you'd get in the mail.
At least this is what I saw when I tried to apply the 820 points I had online at the time - came to a whopping $0.82 off my order, so I cancelled that transaction!

I signed up online and can only use my points online. But it should be 100 points per $1. I ordered some stuff last week and used 6000 points. They took $60.00 off. Must have been a glitch in the system if you only got $0.82 off.

I called them, & they said they have "online" memberships, & "instore" memberships. Since I signed up in the store, they send me coupons, if I had signed up over the internet, my points would just continue to accumulate; they also said I could change to an online membership if most of my orders would be by phone or the internet.
My last order I used like 482 points (they don't issue coupons until they reach 1000), & it amounted to $4.82. The rest of my coupons have already been sent from my new bike purchase (double point), so I'm pondering using them to make a really good purchase of another bike for my wife.
